📅 Last reviewed: August 4, 2026📋 By: UAE Freezone Compare Visa TeamFact-checked by UAE Freezone Compare Editorial Team

UAE residents (holders of a UAE residence visa) can sponsor their spouse and dependent children for UAE family residence visas. Here is the complete process and requirements for family sponsorship in 2025.

Who Can Sponsor Family Members?

To sponsor a spouse or children, you must hold a valid UAE residence visa and meet the minimum salary requirement: AED 4,000/month for a spouse + children, or AED 3,000/month for a spouse only (some older sources state AED 3,000/4,000 — the current requirement as of 2024 is AED 4,000 for a standard family). Investor visa holders (company owners): the salary requirement is often waived — company ownership is considered sufficient proof of financial capacity.
