When Can You Change Status Inside the UAE?
- Tourist or visit visa holder with a UAE employment offer
- Existing resident changing sponsor (company transfer)
- Spouse on family visa converting to employment visa
- Golden Visa applicants already resident in the UAE
Process
- Employer applies for entry permit through MOHRE
- Status change filed with GDRFA (Dubai) or ADRO (Abu Dhabi)
- Medical fitness test completed
- Emirates ID biometrics submitted
- New residence visa stamped in passport
