How to Calculate Your Visa Needs
- Count all people who need UAE residence via the company: Founders + employees + possibly family (family members are dependents, not company-sponsored — counted differently)
- Total visa quota needed = number of founders/shareholders + number of employees
- Family (dependents) are sponsored personally by the visa holder — do not count against company quota
Upgrading Your UAE Free Zone Visa Quota
- Most free zones allow visa quota upgrade at any time by paying an additional fee or upgrading office space
- Cost per additional visa slot: AED 1,500-3,500 depending on free zone
