UAE Business Bank Account with Wise and Revolut Business 2026
Many UAE free zone company owners use Wise Business or Revolut Business as their primary banking solution. Here is the 2026 guide on using these platforms with UAE companies.
Wise Business for UAE Companies
- Wise Business accepts UAE trade licences for business account registration
- Provides local bank details in: USD (US routing/account number), EUR (IBAN), GBP (sort code/account), AUD, CAD, and more
- UAE AED account: Wise does not provide UAE AED account (Wise is not licensed as a UAE bank)
- Best for: Receiving international payments from global clients in their local currency; sending international payments at low FX rates
- UAE FTA: Wise Business is NOT accepted as the primary UAE business bank account for UAE CT and VAT purposes (you need a UAE-licensed bank account)
Revolut Business for UAE Companies
- Revolut Business UAE: Revolut launched in UAE (Dubai office opened 2024)
- UAE company registration on Revolut Business: Possible for UAE free zone companies
- Multi-currency: EUR, USD, GBP accounts from a single Revolut Business account
- UAE AED: Revolut Business provides AED account in some cases
- Limitations: Revolut Business UAE is a relatively new offering; some UAE free zone licence types may not be accepted
The UAE Business Bank Account Requirement
Key point: For UAE CT filing, UAE VAT registration, and many government purposes, you need a UAE Central Bank-licensed bank account. Wise and Revolut Business do NOT replace this requirement. Use Wise/Revolut for international transactions AND maintain a UAE licensed bank account (Wio, RAK Bank, etc.) for UAE-mandated banking purposes.
Recommended Stack for UAE Free Zone Company Owners
- UAE primary account: Wio Business (easiest for UAE free zone companies; regulated UAE bank)
- International receipts: Wise Business (for USD, EUR, GBP client payments)
- Optional: Revolut Business (for EU/UK-focused businesses)
