Dubai Design District (d3) is TECOM’s creative hub for fashion, luxury, design, and art businesses. Opened in 2015, d3 has grown into a vibrant ecosystem of international fashion houses, design studios, architecture firms, and luxury brand regional offices.
Who Is d3 For?
d3 is designed for: fashion designers and fashion houses (Dior, Chanel, Bottega Veneta have regional offices in d3), interior design studios, architecture and spatial design firms, luxury retail brands, art galleries and creative agencies, brand identity and graphic design studios, and jewellery designers and luxury goods companies.
d3 Licence Packages
d3 business licences are issued by TECOM. Key packages: Creative Professional Package (flexi desk, 1 activity, 1 visa): AED 12,000–18,000/year. Studio Package (private creative studio): AED 30,000–80,000/year. Showroom Package (retail display space): AED 50,000–150,000+/year. d3 annual licence is a TECOM Group licence — the same underlying licensing authority as DIC, DMC, DKP, and other TECOM zones.
d3 Ecosystem and Events
d3 hosts: Dubai Design Week (the region’s largest design festival — 60,000+ visitors annually), Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD — the Arab world’s premier fashion week), and frequent pop-up activations by global luxury brands. Being based in d3 gives companies direct access to these event audiences and the international press, buyers, and brand representatives they attract.
d3 Location
d3 is located in the Ras Al Khor area of Dubai, adjacent to the Dubai Design District waterfront and Al Khail Road. The district is accessible by car and taxi; a metro extension is planned but not yet operational as of 2025. Creative professionals often live in nearby Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, or DIFC — all within 15 minutes.
